Salt Lake Temple {Utah Photographer}

We went to Temple Square to see the Christmas lights.
I liked the edit of this picture in black & white.

Provo Temple {Utah Photographer}

Here's a picture of the Provo Temple that I took one night. It's my second attempt at HDR photography.

Power Lines in the Moonlight

I was driving home one night, and the moonlight was making some pretty awesome looking backlight on these power lines.
So I had to pull over to snap a few shots.

"Up" House {Utah Photographer}

I've been meaning to post this on my photo blog for a while now.
My family and I went for a drive one Saturday and decided to drive past the "Up" house that is in Herriman.
We love the movie Up! So this was so much fun to see.
This picture makes me happy, so I wanted to post it here.
I won some parade of home tickets and the "Up" house was one of the homes, so I got to go inside and look around (on a different day). It was totally cute!
Check out this You Tube video, it shows what the inside looks like.

Deer by Utah Lake {Utah Photographer}

After I took some pictures of Utah Lake, I walked back to my car and found a bunch of deer in the field I was parked next to.

Our world is so beautiful! I love capturing it.

Utah Lake {Utah Photographer}

I attempted for the first time to create a HDR image. Not too bad for my first try.
Although, if you google "HDR images", you will find there are many people who are experts in creating this type of photography. I myself won't get too serious about this type of photography, but it's fun to try it out!
I decided to edit this picture in black & white too. I like the heavy contrast!

Here's another of just the clouds & mountains:

Sunset at Utah Lake

I ran across this picture today, and thought it was worth posting. Gotta love a good sunset!

(Picture taken 8-24-2010)

I like to use my imagination, and pretend that the sky has been ripped away.

Logan Temple

I took this photo a year ago, but I recently ran across it and decided to edited it a bit. I like the way it turned out.

Cascade Springs

I went for a little hike in a place called Cascade Springs up the Sundance canyon. It was beyond beautiful there! I really enjoyed the fall colors all around, and the breathtaking views.

If you're wondering...I think I'm all done with my picture of the week thing. I never really had a goal as to how many weeks I'd do it for. I think 19 is good enough. :)

Happy 4th!

We watched some fireworks on Saturday. Here's some of my favorite pictures from the night.

Hope everyone had a fun weekend! We sure did! :)

The Carnival

I went to the Utah County Carnival with the Provo Photography Meetup Group that I'm a part of. It was a fun place to take pictures! I wish I took a tripod though, for my pictures I took with longer exposures.

Sigh...Spring Has Sprung.

It was so nice to wander around town the other day to snap a few pictures in such wonderful weather! I don't want it to snow anymore, yet I don't want summer to come. I wish it could stay this temperature forever!

My Photography Group trip to Eureka

I joined a Photography group that meets monthly called The Provo Area Digital Photography Meetup Group. I know, it's a mouthful! The group meets monthly and has a photography activity of some sort. This month we went to Eureka. Eureka is a bit of a ghost town. And I found it to be a fantastic place to take interesting pictures!

I wanted to take this chair home!

This man's name is Billy Baum, he's a local that happily showed us around the town, and gave us exclusive access to some buildings.

One of the other photographers in the group brought some PUNKY models for us to shoot. It was kinda fun...a big change compared to all the children I've been taking pictures of lately.

And Dustin:

I went a little crazy in Photoshop with this picture.

I loved these windows!

These guys and the location definitely made it an interesting photo shoot.
